Hugo Chittenden began collecting this genre of art in 2015 with his first acquisition being a Mr Brainwash and since then he has expanded his own collection to include a Banksy, Shephard Fairey and a Tracy Emin to name a few recognised artists. He has also added to his collection a number of emerging artists.

In 2021 while everything was closing down Hugo opened his first gallery in the UK and more or less replicated his collection by getting artwork from the artists he had already bought from, on consignment in the gallery while also sourcing some new works.

As part of this process he has assisted many people begin their own collections while advising them along the way. he has also curated some walls in corporate and private office spaces. Understanding what someone wants, sourcing it and presenting it, often framed and delivered is one of Hugo’s great joys.
